Elgin Engineering is owned by African Privity Investments, a wholly black owned entity with a Level Four BBBEEE status.

Elgin Engineering’s staff comprises predominantly previously disadvantaged individuals. Various training programmes and bursaries are in place to mentor employees to allow them to reach their full career potential. Particular emphasis has been placed on the development of managerial skills which will equip our staff to become future leaders in our industry.

Elgin Engineering has, over the years, maintained an excellent working relationship with all of its employees and is proud of the fact that the company has never experienced business interruption due to unsatisfactory employer / employee relationships. Although there are several active trade unions on our site, we encourage further workforce participation through a consultative committee which is a cross-representation of the company's workforce.

Elgin Engineering is committed to the support of other black owned businesses through affirmative procurement and joint ventures. More than 50% of our procurement is from businesses owned by previously disadvantaged individuals.
